We spent the majority of our last day in the Louvre, and we could have easily spent its entirety there. We paid our respects to the Mona Lisa, and I dragged Mom through all the Roman and Etruscan art. We made ourselves a little take-away picnic lunch by the fountain, and then we started the long trek to the Arc de Triomphe. (That thing was a lot farther away than it looked!)
We then relaxed with a couple of glasses of wine at Le Select and then set off looking for a restaurant that proved to be closed. (Closed as in closed forever, not just closed for the night. We could find the address, but not the establishment.) We decided to return to Le Closerie des Lilas for dinner, and that proved to be the best dinner of the trip, which we concluded with the most amazing chocolate dessert. Then we said au revoir to both Paris and our vacation and began to pack.
