Wanderlust Wednesday: Mexico City

We went to El Museo del Barrio tonight for a viewing of En El Hoyo (In the Pit), a documentary that followed some construction workers as they labored on the second deck of the freeway in Mexico City. The film won an award at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, and the director, Juan Carlos Rulfo, was on hand tonight to discuss the film. It was definitely an interesting evening!

Our evening prompted me to select Mexico City for my (belated) Wanderlust Wednesday. We spent the night in Mexico City in January 2008 after we missed a connecting flight on our way home from Guatemala. We ran quickly around the city in the morning before our flight home, and I’d like to make a return trip to see the city properly.
